Supplier Relations Manager (South East Region)


Cabfind is enjoying on-going success and significant growth and has ambitious plans for the future.  The Supplier Relations Manager is part of a busy and dynamic team, which manages a virtual fleet of around 140,000 vehicles in the UK.  The department is constantly challenged to ensure that the supply chain is commercially agile and efficient in order to deliver excellence and enhance the customer experience.  As such the team members are continuously engaged in a number of strategic programmes to manage and transform the supply base, as well as ensuring our daily operations run smoothly to enable our clients to get from A to B safely and on time.  The main purpose of the role is to coordinate all aspects of supplier relationship management to ensure that we achieve optimum supplier performance in respect of quality, cost and availability and ensuring that Cabfind remains the market leader in the taxi management industry



  • Based in the South East the role will reporting to the Head of Supplier Relations and be responsible for:
  • Executing the Supply Chain Strategy by assisting with multiple procurement processes such as supplier relationship management, strategic category management and supply base management
  • Build structured and managed supplier relationships that balance long-term objectives with shorter-term requirements and leverage the value of each supplier towards the needs of the Company and the end customer
  • Continuously profile the external supply market to understand the influences of competition, technology, legislation, supply and demand
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the supply base; identify what the supply market and individual suppliers are capable of delivering to the organisation
  • Recognise opportunities to gain sustainable competitive performance by differentiating products and services offered to customers so the organisation can be the first to offer a premium above the competition
  • Undertake regular analysis of supplier activity and commercial value, identifying and implementing improved commercial opportunities and the optimisation of margin and generation of additional revenue streams
  • Ensure that there is a robust network of suppliers in terms of coverage, scale and quality to meet the requirements of the business by carrying out regular appraisals of the network and undertaking supplier recruitment as required
  • Manage and maintain the supplier database and systems to ensure that data and information relating to supplier records is current, accurate and relevant; communicating any amendments to rates other significant information to the relevant business functions as appropriate
  • Ensure that the supplier is equipped with the relevant knowledge and instructions relating to our expectations of service and conduct to ensure that they can adhere to client requirements and undertake bookings in line with required service levels.
  • Ensure appropriate supplier  contracts are in place with suppliers in accordance with the Supply Chain Strategy
  • Maintain regular effective communications with the suppliers by telephone and email and attend strategic supplier review meetings as required
  • Support the management team with the competitive tendering processes for new and existing client accounts, ensuring ‘best value for money’ for all customers
  • Work in conjunction with the Supplier Audit Executive to ensure supplier audits are up-to-date; maintaining documentation, records and the preparation of technical reports as required
  • Ensure customer complaints and invoice queries are addressed with the relevant supplier in a timely and professional manner
  • To ensure quality of service in line with ISO 9001 standards whilst striving to achieve standards in line with ISO 27001
  • To undertake such other duties that may be reasonably expected

  • Ability to travel 2-3 times a week within the U.K.
  • Full valid driving license
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Databases
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Confidence, integrity and sound negotiation skills
  • Good planning, organizational and administrative skills
  • Numerical and analytical and ability to solve problems
  • Willingness to learn and understand taxi legislation
  • Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail
